Should you change in relationships?

No.

And why would you change? To please the other person? To turn an unfavorable situation in favor? Just because what you think is anti to what the society thinks? What others would say? How would you be treated afterwards for speaking the truth, for being you? Just because ten people are doing this thing and you are the only one following the less trodden path so you should abide by it too?

If you are not causing harm, please do not change.

You know, being original is the best gift you can give yourself? This has been repeated for millionth of times but let it be for once more. Good thoughts always have an audience. When you don't change and stay who you are, you learn to identify your own personality. You learn a few traits, a few ups and downs of your nature, you focus on how did you overcome the last failure and how not to overwhelm the recent success. When you try to mock others, the process of understanding yourself gets complicated. i guess compromised is the better word. When originality gets compromised, the result gets too. You must have faced it somewhere in life so i don't need to preach over it.

However, you can improve. Life keeps changing. What you had in breakfast today will be different tomorrow. What you are wearing today will get replaced tomorrow. Whom you have laughed with today may have his phone switched off tomorrow. These are very basic and simple examples of day to day life where you can observe changes in routine. In between these transformations, there are spaces for self-improvement, possibilities of salvation, opportunities to build something better.

And how could you build something better if you had already compromised on originality? If you wish to learn, if you wish to improve, if you have the desire to contribute something positive, stay You. Do not think about the result. Do not think whether you will be applauded or criticized. Do not think where your decision will take you.

Simply be you. Not he. Not she. Not them. Only You.

Why do we need occasions like Mother's Day?

Firstly, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in this world. Today is a special day for mothers and after wishing my own, I feel great. Mummy did not know today is her day and she was simply surprised when I wished her. She wished me back and then we chatted for a little more while before we hung up.

But before calling her, something else had happened. I was calling her but she was busy somewhere for incessant 20 minutes talking to someone else. Finally I called my father and informed about it's Mother's Day today. He chuckled and wished me. Then he asked,

"Who has made days like Mother's day, Father's day etc.? Do we really need such occasions?"

I laughed. Comments similar to this often flow my way nonetheless I replied to him.

"No. Actually we really don't need such days but if dedicating one day especially to our loved ones, we can shower some extra pounds of love, affection, care and gifts, there is no harm in celebrating them. For the rest of th…

Happy Diwali!!!

Wish you all a very happy, prosperous and full of laughter diwali (I guess I am the first one to wish you all :) ).

It's 12.30 AM and I am awake doing some interesting chit chat with my beloved husband. He is such a great talker and an even better listener (later one goes in my favor of course ;) ). We are exchanging diwali wishes with our parents. I am really happy today as I'd be making a number of really delicious food items (you all are invited too), making two rangolis afterwards and then enjoying the evening with our friends along with firing crackers. I know I know crackers are unfriendly for our environment. Therefore, we all would be doing it in a limit :). My husband is such a great supporter. He loves doing chores with me which makes everything so special and quick of course. I find it sweet. I also enjoy his company pretty much. Yayyy!! We are going to squeeze the maximum joy out of our favorite festival....again.
And yes...as I had promised, I am sharing the two d…

25 ways to save water

My father has asked me to help him out in writing an article on "How to save water? or simply put, "Water Conservation". While working on it, I thought this article is worth sharing on my blog as water conservation has become one of the hottest topic world wide in last few decades. Importance of water now-a-days is well known by everyone. We need water from the first hour of our waking life till the last one. Retaining the water will also help in cutting down on other global crises like global warming and droughts.

I searched profusely and the useful tips I have found are hanging below. Feel free to read them and help our mother planet to attain its water abundance.

Simple things just for reminder. Close tap the taps while brushing or washing vegetables etc.; while filling a bucket with water, make sure you close the tap on time. Do not overfill the bucket; teach children how to save water. Stick stickers to several places (as shown above) that shows how to save water. …
