The reflection of lights.

Since it's officially past twelve, Happy Diwali! The day went by in a blur and finally after four consecutive days of swipe, dusting and cleaning, everything looks sparkly clean. It is as if my house is dancing with joy and content because of cleaned shelves, organized wardrobes, fresh crisp curtains, new bed sheets, aromatic candles etc. Not only my house but I am too feeling good.

Settled now on my dining table for writing a blog post, the time seemed to have come to a halt unlike the speed it sprinted during the day with! But it feels nice and soothing, this time of night. The fragrance of those candles is still floating in the air. Some houses outside still are flickering with colorful lights. World is asleep yet it feels as if it can burst into a celebration any minute. Such is the ambiance of Diwali. Its magic hardly ends.

Having said that, isn't it healthy to hold onto a few things sometimes? Like Diwali. It brings lights. A glowing Diya can enlighten any face. Like those colorful lights. They show how many rainbows life has hidden in its utility room and clicks the right color on right time only. Look at those beautifully lit houses. No matter the shade of paint, put a streamline of lights and there you go! Everything turns into a beauty. Does a smile not do such a job? Put it on and even the dullest face can go the most beautiful. Like those fresh crisp curtains, a sense of newness give a freshness to the mind. Cleaned and organized shelves say to stay tidy and precise. Tough but possible. Bursting crackers bring laughter and deliver more oxygen to the blood. Diverse Rangolis add creativity and bring people together. Sweets and delicacies are little crackles being enjoyed the most. And how come we can forget the actual message it is based upon:

The rise of good over the evil.

The festival is just not only about the celebration but it is also about symbolism. So many things...in fact, everything about it is inspiring, thoughtful. So it might not be a bad idea to hold onto it until it lasts. Make some good memories, share goodness, spread warmth, hug new ideas, kiss your love welcome, forget worries and smile...just keep up with good spirits. The day will go brighter and quicker, I promise. The celebration would be worth.

Now it's 1.34 AM and I am feeling kinda tired. So heading off to sleep only to wake up for another speedy day. Wish you a happy good day.

P.S. Not sure but may be will share some pics here later but don't wait up. I can get lazy!

Why do we need occasions like Mother's Day?

Firstly, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in this world. Today is a special day for mothers and after wishing my own, I feel great. Mummy did not know today is her day and she was simply surprised when I wished her. She wished me back and then we chatted for a little more while before we hung up.

But before calling her, something else had happened. I was calling her but she was busy somewhere for incessant 20 minutes talking to someone else. Finally I called my father and informed about it's Mother's Day today. He chuckled and wished me. Then he asked,

"Who has made days like Mother's day, Father's day etc.? Do we really need such occasions?"

I laughed. Comments similar to this often flow my way nonetheless I replied to him.

"No. Actually we really don't need such days but if dedicating one day especially to our loved ones, we can shower some extra pounds of love, affection, care and gifts, there is no harm in celebrating them. For the rest of th…

Happy Diwali!!!

Wish you all a very happy, prosperous and full of laughter diwali (I guess I am the first one to wish you all :) ).

It's 12.30 AM and I am awake doing some interesting chit chat with my beloved husband. He is such a great talker and an even better listener (later one goes in my favor of course ;) ). We are exchanging diwali wishes with our parents. I am really happy today as I'd be making a number of really delicious food items (you all are invited too), making two rangolis afterwards and then enjoying the evening with our friends along with firing crackers. I know I know crackers are unfriendly for our environment. Therefore, we all would be doing it in a limit :). My husband is such a great supporter. He loves doing chores with me which makes everything so special and quick of course. I find it sweet. I also enjoy his company pretty much. Yayyy!! We are going to squeeze the maximum joy out of our favorite festival....again.
And yes...as I had promised, I am sharing the two d…

How to deal with a nagging neighbour

If you have a nagging fighting-maniac neighbor next door then you can easily relate to my pain and if this neighbor happens to have a dog barking day in and day out, you can feel the loads of irritation coming my way any time and every time.

Neighbors...they are always imagined as a friendly next door people who not only share their space with you but also comes at rescue when you need them. Good neighbors become your another family out of your own. Having been blessed with a good friendly neighborhood is a bliss; something that we always wish for when we move somewhere.

But...our wish comes crashing when we encounter a troublesome recalcitrant people living next door. Before you realize what wrong you have done to them, they will come rushing only to drag you into a fight. The fight majorly consists of verbal accuses and high pitched voice insults. Whether you are innocent or merely a witness to someone else's fight, such neighbors always drag the rest of the word with them, inc…
